  4. Thanks for downloading Printscreen 95. Following is a description of the 
  5. new operating characteristics and enhancements:
  6.  
  7. The new version re-defines the PRINT KEY on the keyboard to function as
  8. a "real" screen print key, and allows you to print the entire screen by
  9. selecting PRINT, and will print only the active window if ALT + PRINT 
  10. are pressed together. 
  11.  
  12. Pressing the PRINT KEY froma DOS prompt will print the text contents of 
  13. the DOS application. Windows does not recognize line draw characters, 
  14. however; and will print + and - sign characters instead of line draw 
  15. characters if the screen contains text boxes or other line draw componenets.

  17. ***IMPORTANT!***
  18.   The video driver selected in Windows Setup must be a 256 color (or fewer) 
  19.   selection. Using a 32K, 64K or 16.7 Million color driver will produce an 
  20.   "Error printing client" message.***
  21.  
  22. The program may be disabled with the radio button on the 
  23. form, which allows images to be copied to the clipboard and pasted into
  24. and out of different applications, as is typically done in Windows. 
  25. Version 2.5 now supports printing 256 color bitmap images, unlike the first
  26. version which was limited to 16 color printing. An option is also provided 
  27. to save the screen or active window image to a .BMP file.

  29. The program operates by capturing the image loaded to the clipboard as the 
  30. print key is pressed, sending it to be printed, and then then clears the 
  31. contents of the clipboard to anticipate the next print screen operation. It
  32. therefore becomes necessary to disable the program when "normal" usage of 
  33. the clipboard is required.
